Saferight is delighted to provide the RIIMPO318F – Conduct civil construction skid steer loader operations certification, a premier skid steer training course in Perth. This course is designed for individuals who are currently employed or seeking employment in operational roles within the mining and construction sectors, and who need to operate a skid steer loader. This makes acquiring a Skid Steer Ticket in Perth essential for professionals in these industries.

Applicants are required to hold a valid Class C licence as a minimum. If you’ve just arrived in Australia, you can join the course with your international C-Class licence, as it’s valid for up to three months. After that, you’ll need a WA driver’s licence or an International Driver’s Licence Permit (IDP) to participate.

Students will attain the theoretical knowledge and the practical application to operate skid steer loader properly and will be able to:

  1. Plan and prepare for skid steer loader operations: Access, interpret, and apply operations documentation, confirm work requirements and identify hazards, use personal protective equipment, implement traffic signage requirements, coordinate planned activities with others

  2. Operate skid steer loader: Perform prestart checks, identify and rectify faults or defects, drive and operate loader safely, monitor hazards and equipment performance

  3. Load, carry, and place materials: Ensure safe load weight, position machinery for effective material handling, shift materials safely using signals, perform post-operational inspection

  4. Select, use, and remove attachments: Choose appropriate attachments, fit and test attachments, use attachments within design limits, remove and store attachments properly

  5. Prepare for relocation: Safely move the loader between work areas, assist with loading/unloading from float/trailer
