SUMMARY: INTERMEDIATE SCAFFOLDING TICKET

This Scaffolding Intermediate course specifies the outcomes required to:

  1. Erect Scaffolding: Learn to set up various scaffolding structures at the Intermediate level.

  2. Cantilevered Platforms: Understand the use and operation of cantilevered crane-loading platforms.

  3. Cantilevered and Spurred Scaffolds: Gain skills in erecting and dismantling cantilevered and spurred scaffolds.

  4. Barrow Ramps and Sloping Platforms: Master the setup of barrow ramps and sloping platforms.

  5. Perimeter Safety: Implement perimeter safety screens and shutters.

  6. Mast Climbers: Operate and manage mast climbers.

  7. Tube and Coupler Scaffolds: Handle tube and coupler scaffolds, including covered ways and gantries.

SUMMARY: ADVANCED SCAFFOLDING TICKET

This Advanced Scaffolding course specifies the outcomes required to:

  1. Erect Advanced Scaffolding: Learn to erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding at the Advanced level.

  2. Intermediate Skills: Incorporate all intermediate level scaffolding skills.

  3. Hung Scaffolds: Specialize in the use and operation of hung scaffolds.

  4. Suspended Scaffolds: Gain expertise in working with suspended scaffolds.

  5. Licensing Preparation: Prepare for licensing in advanced scaffolding operations.

 

Intermediate scaffolding covers cantilevered crane platforms, cantilevered and spur scaffolds, barrow ramps, perimeter safety, mast climbers, and tube scaffolds. Advanced scaffolding primarily involves cantilevered hoists, hung scaffolds from tubes, ropes, or chains, and suspended scaffolds.

Outline

You will be enrolled into the following unit of competency:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must be 18 years old and above

  2. Ability to read, write and understand English

  3. Present photo I.D. on arrival

  4. Complete a ‘Fitness to Complete Training’ form upon arrival at the training facility. The student is required to declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation

  5. Wear steel cap boots and remove all jewellery prior to commencement

  6. Bring along a hi-vis vest

HIGH RISK WORK LICENCE

Disclaimer: Competence in this unit, does not in itself result in a High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) to operate this plant/conduct this skill.

A High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) is a photographic licence, issued to people who have been trained and assessed as competent to work in a class of work defined as high-risk work.

Here’s What You Need to Know:

  • Licence Applications:

    • Saferight does not handle HRWL applications for individual bookings and group bookings via credit card payment. During your training, we will only equip you with all the essential information and paperwork needed to apply for your High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) directly with WorkSafe WA.

  • Passport Photo Service:

    • Saferight provides a passport photo service for a fee of $20 (not included in the course fee). This service produces a set of 6 passport photos required for your HRWL application, available during your training period.
