This TLILIC0005 – Licence to Operate a Boom Type Elevating Work Platform (Boom Length 11 metres or more) training course is based on the requirements of the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.
Students will attain the practical application and understanding required to operate the elevating work platform – EWP (WP) and will be able to:
Plan Work/Task: Identify task requirements, assess EWP suitability and work area, determine paths, apply hazard controls, confirm traffic plan, and establish communication.
Prepare for Work/Task: Maintain consultation, check risk measures, inspect and use safety equipment, safely access EWP, conduct pre-start checks, position and stabilize EWP, and assess environmental conditions.
Perform Work/Task: Implement hazard controls, safely position EWP, secure gear and tools, operate EWP as per procedures, respond to unplanned situations, follow communication signals, and safely access/egress EWP platform.
Pack Up: Conduct post-operation checks, retract and secure EWP, disconnect safety equipment, apply locks/brakes, stow stabilisers, and shut down EWP.TRAINING
