Outline
The CPCWHS1001 course aims to provide participants with an understanding of the fundamental health and safety principles and regulations that apply to the construction industry. Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:

- Control hazards and risks using appropriate safety procedures and equipment
- Apply safe work practices and procedures in accordance with industry guidelines
- Respond to emergencies and incidents in the workplace
- Identify and report any observed workplace health and safety issues to relevant parties
The course also covers topics such as personal protective equipment (PPE), manual handling techniques, and safe work at heights.
To complete the CPCWHS1001 course, participants are required to attend a registered training organization (RTO) and successfully pass an assessment. The assessment may consist of a written exam, a practical assessment, or both.
It is important to note that the White Card course is a legal requirement for anyone wishing to work in the construction industry, and failure to obtain the White Card could result in fines or other penalties.
