Overview
Provide First Aid & CPR overview
This comprehensive combination Provide First Aid & CPR course will provide a strong foundation in first aid and basic life support skills. It equips participants to confidently handle a range of emergencies in various situations.
Key Learning Outcomes:
Identify and understand workplace procedures for applying CPR at the site and gain access to treatment by a medical professional
Report accidents/incidents to authorised personnel in accordance with established procedures
Perform the recovery position for infants and adults
Deliver cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with ARC Guidelines
Operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during cardiac emergencies
Provide first aid according to established principles and practices
Document and communicate incident details effectively
Engage in practical scenarios for real-world application
First Aid Course Coverage:
Managing allergic reactions, anaphylaxis, and asthma
Treating bleeding, burns, and cardiac conditions
Handling choking, diabetes, and drowning incidents
Addressing envenomation, eye injuries, and fractures
Managing head, neck, and spinal injuries
Recognising and treating hypothermia, hyperthermia, and shock
Responding to minor wounds, nosebleeds, poisoning, seizures, and strokes
Provide CPR With Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines including:
Perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on an adult resuscitation mannequin.
Perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR (5 cycles both compressions and ventilations) on an infant resuscitation mannequin.
Communicate details of the incident.

Your Statement of Attainment does not have an expiry date, however, industry standards recommend retraining every two years.
