Overview

This C2 Crane Operator Course in Perth WA, focusing on the C2 Crane Ticket (Slewing Mobile Crane), is designed for individuals currently working or seeking employment in operational roles within the mining and construction industries. The course equips participants to operate a C2 Slewing Mobile Crane safely and competently.

Students will attain the theoretical knowledge and the practical application to operate a slewing mobile crane with a Maximum Rated Capacity (MRC) up to 20 tonnes. and will be able to:

  1. Plan Work/Task: Identify task requirements, confirm lift plan, assess site and crane capacity, establish communication, apply hazard control, and confirm traffic management.

  2. Prepare for Work/Task: Consult on crane operations, check risks, safely access crane, carry out pre-start checks, set up crane and counterweights, ensure compliance with weather conditions, confirm load weight and lifting points.

  3. Perform Work/Task: Ensure lifts within crane capacity, position boom/jib, connect hooks, conduct test lift, transfer loads safely, monitor crane movement, follow communication signals, land load securely.

  4. Pack Up: Stow equipment, secure crane components, apply locks/brakes, shut down crane, and perform post-operation checks.

Entry Requirements

To enrol in the C2 Crane Ticket in Perth WA, you must meet the following requirements:

Students must hold a Dogging/Dogman qualification (High Risk Work Licence and Statement of Attainment/Certificate for CPCCLDG3001 – Licence to Perform Dogging) before commencing the C2 Crane course with Saferight. If your High Risk Work Licence has not yet been issued, a current Notice of Assessment (NOA) will be accepted as evidence of eligibility.

  1. Must be 18 years old and above

  2. Present a valid photo I.D. on arrival

  3. Have a USI (Unique Student Identifier)

  4. Complete the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment. If you have any concerns about your LLN skills, we encourage you to contact us before enrolling.

  5. If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to our bookings email.

  6. Individuals holding a student visa are not eligible to enrol in, participate in, or attend this course, whether face-to-face or online, as Saferight is not registered with CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students).
