Overview

PRE-REQUISITES

Participants must hold a current statement of attainment for the relevant courses within the last two (2) years prior to attending any refresher courses.

The RIIWHS204E – Work Safely at Heights refresher course is aimed at those who have previously undertaken the complete Work Safely at Heights training course and need to refresh their knowledge and skills.

Participants will review:

  • Legislative requirements

  • Risks associated with working at height

  • Priority of access

  • Forces in falls

  • Physical controls

  • Fall arrest equipment

  • Types of anchors

  • Rescue procedures

This course consists of two essential components: Theoretical and Practical.

Outline

You will be enrolled into the following unit of competency:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  1. Following industry standards, participants must hold a current Statement of Attainment for Work Safely at Heights – RIIWHS204E or equivalent issued within the last two (2) years prior to attending this course

  2. Ability to read, write and understand English

  3. Present photo I.D. on arrival

  4. Complete a ‘Fitness to Complete Training’ form upon arrival at the training facility. The student is required to declare any medical issue that may exclude them from full participation

  5. Wear normal work clothing, enclosed footwear and remove all jewellery prior to commencement

  • Practical Assessment

ACCREDITATION & AWARD

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a:

Your Statement of Attainment does not have an expiry date, however, Working at Heights Association (WAHA) and industry standards recommend retraining every two years.

The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance.
